WHO ARE WE?
What is IGEC?, you must be wondering.
IGEC is a club for those young who want to make a difference, who want to do something great yet feel like it's
just impossible –IGEC's here to tell you it's not.
It's an engineering club where members work together
in ambitious, groundbreaking projects that can turn the world
into a wonderful place. A self-repairable nano-material?
Consider it done. A device to capture CO2 and turn it into
useful energy? No problem. Satellites to take the sun's
energy and turn it into electricity? We got you.
With the help of powerful simulators, Computer Assisted Design
(CAD) and limitless creativity, any state-of-the-art idea that comes to mind we will turn into a real prototype.
THE STORY BEHIND
Let's have a glimpse into the past.
In the early 2025, two Ibn Gabirol high-school
students team up under their passion for physics
and mathematics, with one sole purpose in mind:
ensuring that revolutionizing the world they know
is not only dream, but a real part of the future.
Unbeknownst to them, they plant the seed of what later
would become Madrid's most groundbreaking engineering club.
Because a few months later, the club's size wouldn't have
doubled or even tripled, but quadrupled. And as of today,
that number doesn't stop growing. Our community of
passionate members keeps spreading in determination.
HOW DO WE OPERATE?
PROJECT DECISION
Together, we brainstorm and investigate about vanguard technology, until we stumble upon a project we like.
DEEP RESEARCH
Everyone is assigned to a specific sector of the project. All members start doing research about such part and nourish their minds with key information and ideas.
DESIGNING AND TESTING
After all information is collected and ideas are put together, with the assistance of CAD's and physics simulators, we design and test our project meticulously.
SUMMARIZING
When development is over and texting is complete, the whole process and results are arranged in an organized document.
